Resellers: Branding .COM, .NET Domain Names Web-based and Port 43 Whois Lookup Results

As a Reseller, you may completely brand and customize the display of .COM, .NET domain names Whois lookup results, that are registered through your account with K-Systems.

Note

  • If the domain name is Locked by K-Systems, it needs to be first Unlocked by K-Systems, before you may proceed with the Whois Branding.

  • If the domain name is Locked by you, you may proceed with the Whois Branding without Unlocking it.

  • If the domain names are Suspended by K-Systems, they need to be first Unsuspended, before you can proceed with the Whois Branding.

Instructions for Resellers (Anchor: resellers)

  1. Login to your Control Panel. 1

  2. In the Menu, point to Settings -> Products -> Domain Registration and click Whois Format.

  3. Here you have 2 radio buttons under (both) Web Based Whois Format and Port 43 Text Based Whois Format:

    • Use Default Format Provided by the System: Selecting this option displays the Whois Lookup results of all your Customers .COM, .NET domain names registered through your account, as per the default system format.

    • Use Custom Format pasted below: If you wish to customize the Whois Lookup results of all your Customers .COM, .NET domain names registered through your account, select this option.

      Note

      • You would have to enter your Branded Whois details as per the rules and tags mentioned in the interface.

      • For the Web-based Whois, you may enter any HTML content, display your company logo, etc..

      • For the Port 43 Whois you may only make changes to the text you wish to display.

      You may include the line: This Domain Name is for SALE!

  4. Click the Submit Whois Format button to save your changes.
